Chester worked for greyhound bus station for years, prior to becoming self-employed, owning his cleaning service.

Chester departed this life Monday, September 2, 2024, in Jacksonville, Florida, where he gained his wings. Preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy Mitchell and William Ford, his son Ferneze Jones, granddaughter, Braelyn Ford, siblings, Paulett Wallace, Pauline Harris, and Beverly Ford, and nephew, Donald Flemings.

Chester Miller Ford leaves to cherish his memories his children: daughters, Mona Lisa Arnold, Sharika Jones and stepdaughter, Jelisa Alridge; sons, Markeith (Chris) Ford and Breyun (Jasmine) Ford; granddaughters, Zion Franklin, Khileigh Ta'Kayla, Skylar, Aubrey and Makenzie; grandsons, Markeith Jr., and Tristan; nephews, Antonio (Korffie) Clay, and William Fleming; nieces, Melanie Morris, April Morris and Te'khiala Hendricks; god sister, Patrica Collins; a host of grand nieces and nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends among them a special friend and mother of his sons, Ms. Lisa Wimberly.
