David Leon Samuels, Sr., 65, was born December 23, 1958, in Jacksonville, Florida to Arlester and Alberta (Williams) Samuels.

David attended and graduated from Nathan Bedford Forrest, Jacksonville, Duval County, Florida.

David enjoyed traveling, playing the lottery, making people laugh and cheering for the Dallas Cowboys. He loved spending time with his family, and he will be remembered for always having a smile on his face.

David passed away in Farmington, Missouri on Sunday, April 7, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arlester and Alberta Samuels, daughter, LaTonya Lively, grandson, Tysaiah Samuels, brother, Arthur Samuels, Sr., sisters, Delores Ervin, and Ilar Samuels.

David is survived by his wife, Lisa Cagle Samuels; children, Shameika Asberry (Shawn), Michael Asberry (Melissa), David Samuels, Jr., Shantel Sky, Chasity Star and Grace Gilbert; 1 grandchild in Missouri; 18 grandchildren in Florida; 2 grandchildren of Oklahoma; 3 great grandchildren in Florida; 4 brothers, Austine "Sam" Samuels, Johnny Samuels, Lester Samuels, Ricky Samuels (Angela); sister, Rita Herring (John); mother and father-in-law, Barbara and Danny Manes; brothers-in-law, Randy Cagle, Troy Cagle, Rusty Manes; sisters-in-law, Tammy Cagle; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
