Edmond Kenneth LeSesne II commenced his life journey on March 3, 1951, in Jacksonville, FL to loving parents, Edmond Kenneth LeSesne and Mollie Elaine Wilson LeSesne.

Education:

Kenneth acquired his high school education from New Stanton High School. While furthering his education, he met lifelong friends and colleagues as he attended Florida Atlantic University, Jones College, and Edward Waters University where he successfully obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration as Magna Cum Laude.

Church:

At an early age, he was baptized and became a long-term member at Bethel Baptist Institutional Church. His love for the Lord and singing led him to join the ministry's Children's Choir, Youth Choir, and Adult Choir. For many years, he held the positions of Chancel Choir President and President of the Audio and Tape Ministry. He loved his Bethel family!

Artistry:

An artist in his own right, Kenneth had a passion for the arts, acting, singing, listening to music; and playing the piano, trombone, bass guitar, and tambourine brought him great jo.! His greatest musical experience came when he played the bass guitar in a private session with world-renowned group Earth, Wind, and Fire. Known as the "Life of the Party", he could be found at local gatherings wearing his distressed jeans and Indian moccasins as he danced and played his tambourine to the rhythm of the music. As a Thespian, he enjoyed performing his very own rendition of Charlie Chaplin at the close of Popeye Playhouse shows.

Accomplishments:

During a 41-year tenure for First Coast News, he gained a wealth of knowledge and experience that equipped him to advance and flourish in the News Media Industry. In his early years, he worked as a Camera Man which allowed him to be onsite for breaking news events that impacted the community, city, and state. While demonstrating compassion and loyalty to First Coast News, he later became an Account Executive and the first African American National Regional Sales Manager.

It brought great joy to Kenneth when public officials reclaimed rightfully owned property to his grandfather Mac Wilson, a prominent businessman that owned the first black beach resort on Historic Manhattan Beach. On October 2, 2021, a historic marker was placed at Lot #8 of Hannah Park to commemorate Mac Wilson.

Marriage\Family:

Kenneth made a positive impact on the lives of many people. During various tests and trials, he demonstrated his faith, hope, and trust in God by saying, "This too shall pass." This phrase embodied everything that he stood for in life and he instilled this same wisdom and strength into his entire family.

He transitioned peacefully from this physical realm to his Heavenly Home surrounded by his love ones on June 19, 2023. Preceded in death by his parents, Edmond Kenneth LeSesne and Mollie Elaine Wilson LeSesne and his brother, Michael LeSesne
