RAHMINGS, Marvin Bernard Rahmings, 69, passed on Saturday, March 28, 2026. Arrangement entrusted to HARRIS MORTUARY, 2261 Edison Avenue, Jacksonville, Florida 32204. (904) 598-9808
Marvin Bernard Rahming was born on January 3, 1957, in Sanford Fl, to the union of Rudolph Rahming and Theresa M. Johnson Rahming.
Marvin attended Lillie C. Evans Elementary School, Parkway Junior High School, and he was a graduate of Miami Northwestern Senior High class of 1975. During his course of education, he learned to play the violin, auto shop repair, and played football. As a youth, Marvin loved animals. He was also a volunteer in Teen Clean, a youth organization. He helped to keep our Scott Project neighborhood clean.
After graduating high school, he worked several jobs in Miami. Marvin learned to drive trucks and became a long-distance truck driver. He eventually relocated to Jacksonville Fl. He lived in Jacksonville for over 35 years.
Marvin was taught about God and the Sabbath at an early age by his parents and grandparents. He attended several churches in Jacksonville. God saved the best for last. Marvin joined and became a faithful member of Trumpet in Zion Fellowship Church, under the leadership and tutoring of Apostle Darryl McCoy. He loved his church and church family. He loved praying, ministering wherever he went, and being a member of the Men in Black. The only thing that kept him away from church was an illness. He was hospitalized for an extended time, and his church family brought the church to him.
On Saturday, March 28, 2025, Marvin was called to rest from his labored life. God's promises are a Kingdom to come and a new earth. Marvin never lost his faith in God. 2nd Timothy 4:8 says, " Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day and not only to me but also to all who have longed for His appearance."
Marvin was a father of 4: Marvin Harp, Bernard Rahming, Marcus Matthews and Tiffany Rahming. He was a grandfather of 12. He was a brother to 5: Kelvin Johnson, Reginald Rahming (both predeceased), Carol Rahming, Berthena Thompson, and Altheria Thompson. He also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, godchildren, stepchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
