Nellie Grace Alvin was born March 27, 1933 to the late Lucy Kate Saulter and Leroy Upshaw in Glenwood, Alabama.

Nellie graduated from the local schools furthering her education and graduating with a Associate Degree.

Nellie was a Lieutenant of Security at FSCJ North Campus for many years...

Nellie answered God's calling on Tuesday, March 27, 2018, 23:30 p.m. at Orange Park Medical Center, on her birthday.

Nellie is survived by her children: sons, Thomas Garner and Willie R. Garner (Angela); daughters, Helen G. Hatley and Linda G. Stevenson (Donald, Jr.); grandchildren, Donald Stevenson, III and Dionne Stevenson; 3 great grandchildren; brother, Jimmy D. Burnett; cousins, Ernestine Mullin and Armistine Mullin and other relatives and friends.
