Obituary

Joe Eugene Walker , III was born November 29, 1972, in Jacksonville, Florida to his parents, Joe Walker, Jr., and Jean Muriel Walker.

Joe attended private schools in Duval County.

Pastor Walker, shortly after confessing Jesus Christ to be his Lord and Savior, joined Trinity Church Ministries (2001). He became an Ordained Minister and joined Intercessory Deliverance Ministries (2004). Years later, he became Pastor of House of True Praise Christian Fellowship.

Pastor Walker transitioned Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at UF Health, North. He was the ninth of eleven children, and preceded him in death were his parents, Joe Walker, Jr. and Jean Muriel Walker, grandparents, Joe Walker, Sr. and Daisy Walker, his maternal grandmother, Ruth Kearney, and his sister, Debra Jean Wilcox.

Joe leaves to cherish his memory; a loving wife, Sherrie Walker; four children, Joe Walker, IV. (Atlanta, GA), Destani Walker, Jasmine (Dylan) Morici (Ashtabula, OH), and Jovonni Walker; three step-children, Shatonia, Deonte, and Darion; five grandchildren, Dynasti Thomas, Odyssei Thomas, Shawn McKinnon, III., Magnolia Morici, Shawni McKinnon; nine siblings, Cheryl Adams (Augusta, GA), George Wilcox, Jr. (Las Vegas, NE), Apostle Dr. Linda Webb, Anthony Wilcox, Sr., Vaughn Wilcox (Oklahoma City, OK), DeAndrous Wilcox, Yolanda (Eric) Hankerson (Starke, FL); Mario (Annette) Smalls (Plano, TX), and Marcos Walker (Hickory, NC); special aunt, Delores Simmons, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, among them a special cousin, Joy Waters Gregory, and friends among them, special friends: Charles Hobdy, Jimmie Walker, Marcus Denson, and Pastor James Durden.
